September is National Honey Month

September 04, 2017

Time to give a big old shout out to those lovely honey bees and their amazing honey!

September is National Honey Month, and it was started in 1989 by the National Honey Board. September is the end of the honey collection season for many beekeepers in the United States, and a time to enjoy all that these hard working honey bees have to offer.

Besides tasting fantastic, honey is also known to be great for allergies, sore throats, and soothing on your skin. You can find local honey at your farmer's market, or specialty food store. Also check out the National Honey Board's honey locator to find a beekeeper near you.
